Coming soon, Microsoft will bundle elements from Dynamics CRM and utilize a new app marketplace, AppSource, to form Dynamics 365 for securing and expanding business through intelligent digital tools.
According to Microsoft; “Business processes are at the core of every business. Across all industries our customers are looking to adapt their customer engagement and business operations processes to the digital era, to secure and expand their businesses. This “digital transformation” requires a degree of business process agility – and a unification across the business – not supported by the traditional “siloed” ERP and CRM approach of the past.
This cloud bundle will be the ultimate collaboration tool with features from Dynamics CRM, AppSource, Cortana Intelligence, and other intuitive solutions. Microsoft Dynamics 365 will deliver an intelligent combination of business functions including Service, Financials, Field Service, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Project Service Automation and Customer Service.
How does Dynamics 365 differ from Dynamics CRM?
The Dynamics 365 bundle is bringing CRM together with applications for key business processes and productivity. Not only will 365 offer a full-scope visual aid for customer relationship monitoring, but will also cover a wide range of valuable tools for overall business tactics and workflows.
Dynamics 365 is said to infuse Big Data, extend over 200 SaaS applications to countless uses throughout a company, and aid in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for various companies – all on a Cloud-linked platform for work on the road and at the office on any device.
Microsoft continues to provide a familiar and customizable interface for the Dynamics 365 solution. It is consistent, convenient, and provides a common data model that allows you to independently deploy applications that fit certain roles in your business. Dynamics 365 might be the ultimate XRM solution!
Why Bundle Microsoft Applications?
An evolving, integrated system has been the overall goal for future implementations by Microsoft.
One of Microsoft’s lead engineers stated in the Microsoft announcement that, “the new name reflects the significance of the offering and the coming together of the two worlds: structured business processes and unstructured personal productivity.”
What Does This Mean for Dynamics CRM Users?
Microsoft Dynamics 365 has been designed to transition seamlessly for customers using Dynamics CRM online and Dynamics AX online. Dynamics 365 is a cloud service, so it will not be available in its current state for on premise or private clouds.
